TaxFree Shopping is a family-owned and operated company created to promote shopping and economic tourism to the State of Texas. Founded in 2001, TaxFree opened its first location in the basement of NorthPark Center in Dallas, TX which it quickly outgrew. As a small business, TaxFree is proud to have supported employees and their families as it expanded across the state. Today we proudly serve thousands of international clients every year in 12 locations in the Dallas, Houston, San Marcos and McAllen areas including the DFW and IAH airports. We strive to provide an inclusive work environment for our employees and a professional customer service experience for our international clients.

TaxFree Shopping is rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau and has won Customer Service awards from international tourism industry partners. We are proud members of the Texas Border Coalition, Texas Travel Alliance, among others, to promote shopping tourism to the State of Texas.

Meet the Team

Ben Petty

Managing Partner

Ben has been with TaxFree Shopping since its inception in 2001 and attended Blinn College. Ben has a love for travel and adventure and has a deep love for Chick-Fil-A. Some of his favorite places to travel to are Hawaii and Australia or any Comic Con events.

Traci Davis

Assistant Managing Partner

Traci has been with TaxFree Shopping full-time since 2012. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arkansas and is a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. When she’s not cheering on the Razorbacks or the Baltimore Ravens, Traci likes to spend time with family, planning her next trip to Disney, or snuggling with her pets at home.

Kyndra Kuenzle

Director of Human Resources

Kyndra has been with TaxFree Shopping since 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and a professional certification of SHRM-SCP. Kyndra and her family are happy to be back in the DFW area again and enjoy being closer to Dallas Stars hockey.

Inessa Nicanor

Dallas Area Manager

Inessa has been with TaxFree Shopping since 2014. She attended the University of Texas at Rio Grande Valley. Inessa was born and raised in Texas. She enjoys traveling and has cultivated a love for the travel and tourism industry. She also loves Mexican food and the Dallas Cowboys.

Leo Padilla

Houston Area Manager

Leo has been with TaxFree Shopping since October of 2017. He has extensive professional Management experience and has been a leader in the Customer Service industry for over 15 years. Originally from California, Leo moved to Houston Texas in 2002. When Leo is not working he enjoys frequenting the gym and hosting dinner and wine nights with his closest friends.

Marisela De La Cruz

South Texas Area Manager

Marisela was born and raised in South Texas. After 25 years in the education field working with at-risk youth, she joined TaxFree Shopping in 2012. She enjoys spending time with family and cooking their favorite dishes. In addition to taking care of her family, she also enjoys visiting new places, eating new foods, and meeting new people.

Simran Dhillon

Main Office Manager

Simran has worked with TaxFree Shopping in 2006. She attended Queens College in New York and moved to Texas in 2005. Simran loves spending time with family, celebrating holidays and trying new foods. She would love to travel to Europe and Switzerland one day.

Jimmy Carter

Accounts Receivable Manager

Jimmy joined the TaxFree Shopping team in 2022. He has an extensive professional background in Management, Customer Service, and Accounting. Jimmy is from St. Louis, Missouri but is back in Texas to be closer to family and friends. He has an unmatched love for BBQ and Seafood. In his free time, you can find him looking up new destinations to travel and enjoying time with family.

Amanda Griffeth

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Amanda has been with TFS since 2012 in various support roles during her career. She enjoys spending time with family and going on new adventures. Her favorite place in the world is Ireland and she hopes to take her kids there someday.

Mark Antioquia

Media Coordinator

Mark began working with TFS in 2023. He has worked as a former science teacher in New Jersey for eleven years and as a wedding photographer part time. After teaching, he became the general manager for a newly established gym in Boston responsible for daily operations, client management, and social media outreach. He enjoys meeting new people, scuba diving, and drone videography while traveling.
